Got this at the beginning of the week, dunno if it was supposed to be there yet as I got an error. but when i went to check my membership it says it'll renew at 29.99 so I suppose I'm set.
So many bitter people...guess I've never really dedicated myself to a franchise to understand. I just go on a game by game basis myself.
Anyhow, game looks pretty absurd (in a good way). Not entirely sure what the hell was going on, but looked interesting.
I havent gotten full use of it, have only played demos. But now with the upcoming update that will allow for wifi and the fact i was able to get the whole thing working on my weak ass netbook, it may serve as a good secondary option.
Plus this past labor day sale where everything was %50 off including Mafia looks to keep my interest for future holiday sales.
Its still a big maybe for me tho. I've got this free year so i may as well keep checking up on it....
There better be something amazing being announced soon. I been supportive of the xbox brand since the beginning. This however just seems like spousal abuse. :P .
I'll just pick up a $40 card off Amazon for one more year after that I'll be taking full advantage of the fact I also own a PS3.
They really disconnected with the core...sad sad shame. I still hold out a small bit of hope they throw something big out tho.

Damn right. I just don't get the obvious omission. Oh well there is always hope for a future update to allow for it.

Pretty much. I dont have to worry about them mishandling hardware or anything while they play (my poor Rock Band drums never had a chance), plus I still get to use the UI to navigate menus and such. And who knows maybe down the road Kinect will prove to have to great use with core titles. Until then I'm certain the kids will have a blast.
Okay...just show us then. I wouldn't mind seeing some of the features in Kinect built into the next Xbox such as voice commands and hand gestures (why waste a bit of battery power, just to get a movie going or something?). However, the standalone device has yet to show anything of real substance for the core crowd gaming wise.
Its all blah blah blah for now, tho as it stands I will be getting it...for the daycare I work at :P heh.
Its all an effort to get each side acquainted with one another and the different company philosophies before the bombshell announcement about Sony and MS working together. Amazon with my girlfriends Prime Account she got for free for being a college student. On more than one occasion the game has come the day prior to official release. I doubt that will happen with Halo, but meh free release date shipping with a $20 giftcard works for me as is.
when they do it in a team based match. Reason why i just said fuck it to MW2 and traded it in. Free for all I could care less if they wanna boost. But when yer in a team based game that pretty much means yer down 2 guys. Every round pretty much become 4vs6 or worse.

I hope they do more with the zombies than what they did with GTA4. Would be cool if the whole world was slowly hit, town after town, spreading like a plague. But I'm guessing its just gonna be random occurrences. Either way it should be fun.
